Severe weather season in the Midwest has now started. Just a few days ago tornadoes ripped through several states killing people and wiping towns off the face of the map. In light of this event, I decided to blog about the weather. 2011 was a very active year of extreme severe weather that killed hundreds of people. The most memorable events were the Joplin, MO tornado that killed 166 people and the tornadoes that struck in the South.

Seeing that the Thanksgiving holiday is upon us, I thought that it would be fitting that my first blog should be about…shopping! Specifically, Black Friday. Or should I call it Black Thursday?
Many stores, including Target and Wal-Mart, are planning to open their stores as early as 10 PM (Toys R Us is planning to open at 9 PM) Thanksgiving night so that holiday shoppers can get their hands on deep discounted items such as TVs and computers.
